# How to Make It:

01 - Remove the halloumi from its packaging and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels. Cut into ½-inch thick slices.
02 - Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until the oil shimmers.
03 - Arrange the halloumi slices in the pan without overlapping. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy on the exterior.
04 - Transfer the fried halloumi to a serving plate. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the slices, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and finish with freshly ground black pepper. Serve immediately while warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Honestly this is the fastest way to feel like a genius cook with almost zero effort.
  • The contrast of that golden crispy exterior against the squeaky soft center is downright addictive.
  • It pairs with practically anything so you will never run out of ways to serve it.
02 -
  • Halloumi toughens and turns rubbery if it sits around too long after cooking so timing really is everything.
  • A non stick pan makes the difference between beautifully golden slices and a stuck melted mess you have to scrape off the bottom.
  • Patting the cheese dry before frying is the one small step most people skip and it changes the entire texture of the result.
03 -
  • Let the pan get fully hot before the cheese goes in because a cold pan guarantees sticking and sadness.
  • Do not flip too early, when the cheese releases easily from the pan it is ready to turn and not a moment before.
